At this year’s Learning Technologies show I’ve been invited by the eLearning Network to do a slot on ‘Ask the Expert’ about instructional design. I’ll be at stand 190 from 2-3pm on Wednesday 29 January, answering any questions you might have on instructional design. I’m not anticipating being in agony uncle mode for the full hour – I’ll be very happy to go off-topic, especially if you want to find out more about how the eLearning Network could benefit you…
So what are your burning instructional design issues?
Here are some examples of the kind of things I’m expecting to be asked :
- Which learning theories are useful?
- How do you make the best use of Subject Matter Experts?
- How can you work most effectively with graphic designers, technology specialists and others on the project team?
- How do you design realistic scenarios?
- How do you reduce lots of detailed content to the key messages that will improve performance?
- How do I design effective questions?
- When should I use audio/ video/ other media?
- How can I accelerate my development as an instructional designer?
- How do you find a good instructional designer?
- How can I design award-winning e-learning?
I fully expect this list of questions may not cover your own questions so do pop along to the eLN stand or tweet me at viv_cole #elnevent.
